Jennifer Quincey Monkscourt Ave, ML UK-Death, Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Jennifer “Jenni” Quincey, who peacefully passed away on 13th March 2026 at University Hospital Monklands. Born on 25th May 1988 at Rottenrow Hospital, Glasgow, Jenni was the beloved daughter of Janet Buntin and spent her early years in Denniston, East Kilbride, and Newton Mearns. She attended Greenfield Primary School in East Kilbride and Mearns Castle High School, where her caring and compassionate nature became evident from a young age.

Jenni studied Psychology at the University of the West of Scotland, Paisley Campus, balancing her studies with work in pubs and nursing homes. Her passion for helping others led her into a career in care, where she worked in nursing homes and care centers, particularly supporting residents living with Alzheimer’s disease. She later became Acting Manager and contributed significantly to transforming sheltered housing in Inverurie to better serve its residents.

During her university years, Jenni met her husband, David Quincey. They were married at The Corinthian in Glasgow and enjoyed a honeymoon in Gran Canaria before settling in Coatbridge with their cherished pets, Django and Bob. Jenni was a devoted wife, loving daughter, loyal friend, and much-loved daughter-in-law to Anne and John Quincey, and sister-in-law to Lesley. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including television programs and talent shows.

Tragically, Jenni suffered a stroke in 2016. Despite her strength and resilience, her health gradually declined. She passed peacefully in the ICU at University Hospital Monklands. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the medical and nursing staff, as well as to friends, relatives, and neighbors for their support.

All are warmly invited to celebrate Jenni’s life at Holytown Crematorium on Friday, 3rd April 2026, at 3:30 pm, followed by a gathering at The Mint, Coatbridge. Attendees are kindly asked to wear a touch of purple in her memory. For those unable to attend, the service will be streamed online.
