It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Peter Ronald Dow, affectionately known as Ronnie, who died peacefully at home on Sunday, 22nd March, aged 90 years.
Ronnie was a devoted and loving husband to his late wife, Mary, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. He was a much-loved father to Elizabeth, Garry, Wendy, Ronnie, Scott, Stuart, and Fraser, and took immense pride in his family. As a respected father-in-law, he welcomed each new member with warmth and kindness, creating strong and lasting bonds.
A doting grandfather and great-grandfather, Ronnie found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren, offering wisdom, laughter, and unwavering support. He was also a beloved brother, uncle, and a loyal friend to many, known for his generosity, gentle nature, and quiet strength. Ronnie’s presence brought comfort and reassurance to those around him, and his legacy will live on through the lives he touched.
Those who knew Ronnie will remember him as a man of integrity and compassion, whose kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A service to celebrate Ronnie’s life will take place at Perth Crematorium on Wednesday, 8th April at 1:30pm, to which all are warmly invited to attend and pay their respects.
Family flowers only, please. However, there will be an optional collection in memory of Ronnie for Cancer Research and Alzheimer Scotland, for those who wish to contribute.
May he rest in peace, reunited with his beloved Mary, and forever held in the hearts of his family and friends.
