The Naylor family has been closely associated with men’s football since the late 1970s, playing a significant role in the growth and spirit of the game. Mavis was a central part of that legacy, offering unwavering support and dedication over many years. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded Life Membership of the IFA in 1995—an honor that reflected her commitment and impact on the football community.
Following the passing of George, Mavis continued to proudly represent the Naylor family, maintaining their strong connection to the sport and its people. Her presence, strength, and dedication ensured that the family’s involvement and influence remained deeply felt.
